I have been in the Wastewater/Water industry since August of 1989. I graduated from Green River High School in May of 1989, and later that summer went to work as a seasonal for the Wastewater Plant. Later that year, jobs came open and I was blessed with a full time job in March of 1990. I’ve been there ever since. Later in 2005 we were asked to take over the Water Distribution System. This has been somewhat of a challenge, but after 3 years we seem to have taken a system that had lacked any dedication for the last 20 years and brought it back to life. WWQ/PCA has gone through these highs and lows as well, and as the president elect I hope to bring the organization to its highest level. I want to help future directors make our annual conference as easy and professional as possible. We at WWQPCA are not funded by any national organizations and do not receive federal money to keep our organization running. Every member of our board, including the president, president elect, secretary, and directors does not receive any money for our services. We are here for the operators of the State of Wyoming.
On a personal note, I spend my spare time with my wife of ten years, Christena, my children Mikenna, Espen, and my little clone, Tristan. I am also a volunteer Firefighter, HAZMAT Technician, Car Seat Tech with the Green River Fire Department.
I am pleased to be serving on this board with all the experienced operators that have volunteered and been elected to assist the fine water and wastewater operators of the great state of Wyoming.

I am now the Chief Operator for the Town of Dubois Wastewater plant and backup operator for water, collection, and distribution. Currently hold a Wyoming Level IV Wastewater, Level III Water, Level II Collection, and Level II Distribution. I have been in the Wastewater/Water Industry for over 30 years in systems from 0.010 MGD to 36 MGD. My first system was in North Carolina in the early 70’s that no one wanted to learn how to run. My interest has always been in the wastewater treatment field but branched out to include all aspects of municipal water and wastewater.
I moved to Wyoming almost 20 years ago. After cowboying on various ranches in the Dubois area for seven years I was drawn back to wastewater treatment in Lander, where the system was experiencing frequent violations. Working with Bill Mixer over a period of 5 years the system was in compliance and won the Region VIII EPA’s “Most Improved Plant” award for the year 2000. I wanted to get back to the Dubois area so when a position opened up I was on my way again with another wastewater system with frequent violations. Again within 5 years moved the Dubois system back in compliance with another EPA Region VIII “Most Improved Plant “award in 2007. In the last 5 years have also started a program of replace or rehabilate the aged collection system in Dubois. Within the next 3 years should have 50% of the collection lines either replaced or relined with PVC and a 35 year old lift station replaced. All my accomplishments have been with the help of a lot of people along the way. By serving on the WWQPCA Board again I hope to help promote the importance of our profession in the water/wastewater industry.

Brian began working for Evansville in August 1990. I drove the garbage truck 4 days per week, and worked in the distribution and collection systems 1 day per week. After getting my level 1 water license in the spring of 1991, I began working in the distribution system full time. I was working on my collection license when a position opened at the water treatment plant. After getting my level 2 water treatment license, I accepted a position at Casper’s water treatment plant in July of 1995. I passed my level 3 and level 4 water treatment licenses as well as my level 1 wastewater license while working for Casper. I then began working as a Vulnerability Self Assessment Tool (VSAT) consultant after leaving Casper in October of 2004. I traveled all over the state helping Wastewater treatment plants assess where they were vulnerable. In May of 2005, I again began working for Evansville on the distribution and collection systems Monday through Friday and at the water treatment plant 1 day per weekend. While there, I became shop foreman and passed my level 2 distribution and level 2 collection licenses earlier this year.

When not working with my community, I work for it, as the Public Works Director for Dayton, Wyoming, (a small town nestled up against the Big Horn Mountain Range). I have worked for Dayton for 25 years starting as a town maintenance person (only two of us then) where my duties are forever changing, and one minute a water/wastewater expert then a lawn mower mechanic. I own two businesses, which employ some of the local kids; they are an extension of my passion of life. Big Horn Graphics (textile screening) was started back in high school some 43 years ago and Wyoming Wings a hang gliding & paragliding school that has been in business for around 30 years. Through my free flight schools I seem to bring people from all over the world to enjoy my little piece of heaven and paradises. They fall in love with little town in northeastern Wyoming. My lovely wife Susan, of 36 years keeps me on the ground, sometimes, to help with the activities of my 4 children and 5 grandchildren. When not playing with my children, I am involved with my district school system as a school board member and President of the Wyoming School Board Association. I keep up with all the latest in school training and am trying to find the answer to why parents and school teachers drop out of kids learning when they need them the most, in middle school years. After all that, I am very active in my hobbies of Hang Gliding, Paragliding, Kite boarding (snow and water), golf, water skiing, drawing and designing and basically all the adventure sports I can find.

I’ve been in Casper (or Glenrock) since I was in elementary school, almost 20 years. I’ve worked for the City of Casper for 9 years, nearly all of which were spent in the Engineering department doing drafting, design, and construction inspection/observation. I was promoted to Wastewater Collection Supervisor in July of 2007. The job is an interesting new challenge! I have a veteran crew, which helps, because they know their jobs and the collection system well. My main objective during my tenure in wastewater will be to improve our use of GIS and CCTV technologies, as well as increase public awareness of their impact to the system. I have a 12 year old daughter, Alliyah, who attends Dean Morgan Junior High.

I currently work for the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities as a crew chief. I began my career in Ruston, Louisiana (yes I am a Wyoming transplant). Before I was out of school, I helped my uncle with laying drain pipe in Louisiana. Then in 1994, I secured a job with the City of Ruston Water Department. After working there for three years, my wife and I missed the Wyoming scenery, hunting and fishing, so we moved back and I started my job with Cheyenne BOPU where I have been for the last 11 years. I have worked through the ranks starting in the well field (water treatment), then moved to the distribution/collection area where I now work in the crew chief position. I like to spend what little free time I have hunting, fishing and playing with my pride and joy, Jacob, who is now 8 years old as well as spending time with my beautiful wife of 14 years, Nikki. I am a huge NASCAR fan and college football enthusiast (go LSU!). I am very excited to be joining the WWQ/PCA Board of Directors and hope to contribute to the organization and operators throughout the state of Wyoming.
